It all started because i could find plates at yard sales and thrift stores sometimes for as low as 10 cents a piece. To hang the plate drill a drywall screw into the wall leaving it about 1 4 from going all the way in. Slip the d ring hardware right onto the screw. Or whoever else s you re nobly storing.

By hanging plates on the wall to decorate you kill two birds with ones stone the walls get decorated no framing required and some china storage opens up. Turn your plates over on a flat surface making sure you face the top of the plate pointing away from you. One of the easiest ways to hang plates on a wall is with adhesive discs. It just takes a tiny dot of glue behind where you would normally screw in the d ring don t use too much or it will slide.

Make sure to use wall anchors if you have plaster walls or if you aren t screwing into a stud. You stick them onto the back of your decorative plates and then hang the hooks attached to the discs on a wall. More room for pieces from your own collection. Allow the plate disc to sit on the plate for 24 hours.
