However if it is a gsync monitor you will have to use display port to support gsync. I just bought an alienware aw2518hf 240hz 1080p and there was only a hdmi 2 0 cable delivered with it. But does displayport 1 4 support 240hz. Or can only a hdmi 2 0 cable will be enough for 240hz 1080p.

Am i able to run the monitor 240hz or do i need a dp cable. My gpu supports 2 0b cable and monitor hdmi 2 0. To be honest i dont care about g sync but i want 240hz 1080p so badly. I dont know if i am allow to send the products i bought so i will just leave their names. Hdmi 2 0 might support 1080p 240hz not sure if the monitor and your gpu has hdmi 2 0 support.
